How do I choose a Wedding Photographer?
There are a few important things to consider. The first is to determine your style and think about what you’re looking for in your photographer. It’s important to feel comfortable with your photographer on your wedding day and that they’re honest and transparent with you about what can and can’t be done. You have to love their style of photos and have trust in
their direction and choices. We produce our best work when we are trusted to do our thing!
I shoot about 90% documentary style on the day as I want to the photos to reflect you and the special moments. It is my job to find the nice lighting and framing so there will be some directing/prompting when needed but besides that I make it comfortable and fun, which I think is really reflected in my work. I will give you tips throughout the day to help you get the
most out of your photography package, and also the day in the general as it flies by. My priority is that you enjoy your day with your family and friends and I capture every moment I can. And if you’re feeling any kind of ‘we are not photo people’ kinda thoughts don’t let that worry you for a moment, I got you!
We feel you’re the photographer for the job! How do we book you for our wedding?
You guys are awesome! The best way is to confirm I’m available that day by using the
contact form on my website, or just by giving me a call on: 0434 161 482. I’ll do my best to respond within 24 hours. Please try to include some info for me, i.e. your wedding style and a bit about you both. From there, we’ll lock in the date with a deposit and contract. To try and take the pressure off your wallet, all weddings are placed on a payment plan of four instalments. Prices begin at $3800.00 with smaller elopement packages also available.
How many photos will I get?
I don’t put a limit on the number of photos that I give to my clients, and will always try and give you the maximum amount of great images from the day. This often varies depending on the type and style of your wedding and the shooting period in your package. Feel free to ask me more about this and I can explain the process I follow when shooting.
Will I receive good quality images?
Of course! I want to make sure that you’re able to print any of your photos to a high quality. They will all be hi-res JPEG ready to print
Are you willing to travel?
Yes! I absolutely loooveee to travel and it can be arranged very easily! Just let me know the details and we can discuss further. I travel all about Western Australia and shoot about 80% of my weddings in the South-West Margaret River region.
Do you take family photos on the day?
Definitely. I think it’s essential at any wedding to get some great images with your family on the day to look back on in the future. It helps everyone to feel included in your special day and means that no one is missed out – it only takes around half an hour or so, but it is always worth it. I’d generally suggest providing a list ahead of time to ensure no one is forgotten in the excitement of the day.
What’s the best time of day for bridal photos?
Most images you’ll see in my portfolio are in the evening at around sunset, at a time known as ‘Golden Hour’. I can make the most of any available light source, but from years of experience I find couples love the photos taken at this time the most.
Who will be photographing our wedding?
If you book with Ayzia Jade Photography, you can be sure I’ll be the one taking photos at your wedding. I don’t subcontract out your wedding to other photographers. As of late 2019 all my packages include a second shooter who generally starts from the ceremony onwards. If you’d like to see an extended gallery that shows the range of images I capture on the day, just let me know.
What qualifications do you have?
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Majoring in Photography and ore than 11 years of experience as a wedding photographer. Plus I like to take one to two courses a year so that I am always growing and learning new tricks with the camera.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes + Yes ! I’ve got your back, no matter what.
Can we have a list of references?
Feel free to take a look at my testimonials on my Facebook page, and if you’d like, I can put you in touch with a previous Bride whose wedding I was lucky enough to shoot.
Do you make Wedding Albums?
You know it! There’s no better way to display your special day. Just let me know if you’d be interested in getting an album included in your package.
Can you show me a real wedding so I can better see your full coverage?
Absolutely. I am more than happy to share a full wedding gallery; all you gotta do is ask!.
